Water sustains life, carries memory, shapes landscapes, and connects us across generations, geographies, and histories.​At its heart, Ocean Ma is an exploration of the feminine divine; not as gender, but as a force. The force that creates, nurtures, protects, transforms, grieves, remembers, and endures. Across cultures, water has long been revered as a source of life and wisdom, a keeper of stories, a vessel of healing, and a reminder that we belong to something larger than ourselves.This year's gathering invites us to consider what it means to be held by the tide: to move with cycles of abundance and loss, to honor intuition and interdependence, and to recognize our responsibility to one another and to the natural world.Our guiding reflection this year is:What we take disappears.What we ignore persists.What we love changes us.This year's net proceeds go to Women's Water Walk, co-chaired by Waterfall Unity Alliance. The mission of the Waterfall Unity Alliance is to protect Skóhare (the Schoharie Valley) and all Earth; build alliances across movements and cultures; and help create solutions to the existential challenges of our time.The Women's Water Walk is a 113-mile, two-week prayer walk led by women along the proposed Constitution Pipeline route in New York, honoring and protecting the region's rivers, forests, and communities. Rooted in prayer, song, and collective action, the walk invites people of all backgrounds to join in advocating for clean water, environmental stewardship, and a more just and sustainable future.
