In this passage, matter retains something of what it once was and, through transformation, opens onto the possibility of what it may yet become.Argentine visual artists Sonia Braun, Laura Manuel, and Cecilia Nigro work with diverse materials — water, stone, sand, pigment, and clay — to explore that unstable territory where matter, time, and memory meet and affect one another. Each, through her own language, considers how what changes can endure as the trace of an experience.
