- **Event Description**: The event celebrating Kosciuszko’s ties to Poland, America, and France through music connecting three cultures.About this EventPoland, America, and France each held an important place in the extraordinary life of Tadeusz Kościuszko. On October 1, the Kosciuszko Foundation brings these three cultural worlds together through music in The Kosciuszko Triad: Music of Poland, America, and France, a special recital at the Foundation’s historic House in New York City.Featuring Patrycja Posłuszna, soprano; Boubacar Diallo, cello; and Nicholas Alexander Kaponyas, piano, the evening will trace a musical journey across national traditions and generations, from the unmistakable poetry of Fryderyk Chopin to the refined colors of French music and the distinctive voice of American composer Amy Beach. The program pairs celebrated masterworks with intimate musical gems. Chopin is represented both by the youthful charm of his song Życzenie (The Wish) and by the profound Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 65—one of the composer’s last major works and a compelling culmination of the evening. French music comes to the fore in Claude Debussy’s Cello Sonata, by turns mysterious, playful, and electrifying, and in Henri Duparc’s evocative song La vie antérieure. Amy Beach’s Romance, Op. 26 contributes an American voice of sweeping lyricism, while works by Ludomir Różycki, Moritz Moszkowski, and Ralph Vaughan Williams further enrich a program built around melody, poetry, and musical dialogue.More than a recital, The Kosciuszko Triad reflects an idea at the heart of the Kosciuszko Foundation: that culture can create lasting connections between nations. Kościuszko’s own remarkable journey linked Poland with America and France; this evening reimagines that historic triangle through the universal language of music.MEET THE ARTISTS:Polish-American soprano Patrycja Posłuszna is a New York-based artist whose performances encompass opera, art song, and prominent Polish-American cultural events.
