The audience will take away conscious listening skills to employ in everyday life and somatic processing.The musical choice of Bach, Vaccaro, and Schubert/Liszt will highlight three contrasting moods while staying cohesive to the intentional focus, effort, and energy required to hold mental and physical space.The original dance choreography moves energy throughout the body. Just like the music, it reveals emotion and energy that needs to be consciously released. Integrating classical ballet technique and somatic-led movement generation forges a clear pathway for nuanced and refined connection that invites the viewer to a place where nothing can hide. As an international prizewinner, faculty at Juilliard Extension and Yale Alumni College, producer, studio owner, and creator of Conscious Listening, she joyfully demonstrates how to use music as a catalyst to build multidimensional awareness and to make sense of the human experience. Recent engagements include the Aspen Music Festival, Cleveland Chamber Guild Series, and Englewood Arts in Denver, with presentations at Yale School of Music and TEDx Yale, and upcoming performances in Munich, Amsterdam, and Rome.
