And, for most people, it's harder to meet people in bars than it used to be. So, I partnered with Henrietta Hudson to bring you Silver Sapphics, a singles mixer for the 50+ community.In May, we're doing another round of speed dating. This month, it's open format! About the Hosts: Karmen Paley: Matchmaker and Founder of Karmen Connects, a boutique matchmaking agency serving LGBTQ+ clientele. With six years of experience, Karmen has celebrated many lasting matches across the spectrum of identity. Specializing in the unique dynamics of queer dating, they focus on helping LGBTQ+ individuals navigate dating with intentionality and authenticity. is a legendary venue built by lesbians and rooted in community, activism, and care. For over 30 years, Hen’s has served as a safe haven in NYC—now reimagined as a spacious, airy lounge designed for connection, comfort, and creativity. Blending the warmth of a living room with the ease of a petite café, the space features mid-century modern design, cozy seating, work nooks, an outdoor enclave, a charcuterie bar, and a refreshed cocktail menu.
