Join us to explore how our brains grow, adapt, and bloom on February 28th from 1–4 PM at Columbia’s Jerome L. Greene Science Center!

About this Event

Join us to explore how your brain grows, adapts, and blooms! From forming new connections to learning and creating, our brains are constantly changing and thriving.


Through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations, discover the amazing ways your brain develops, strengthens, and blossoms throughout life. Families and community groups are invited to celebrate the power and beauty of the brain.


This month’s theme, Your Brain in Bloom, highlights the incredible growth and adaptability of our minds. Don’t miss this exciting event.


Saturday Science is generously supported by funds from the NSF AI Institute for Artificial and Natural Intelligence (ARNI).

This event is free and open to the public. Register now to guarantee entrance.

We recommend that all visitors (except children 5 years of age and under), including those who enter any campus facility for any period of time, should be vaccinated.

Tickets are limited, so please only register if you plan on attending! If you register but cannot attend, we ask that you release your tickets in a timely fashion so another young scientist has the opportunity to join us.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Content is geared toward elementary and middle school students, but learners of all ages are welcome. Guests can arrive at any time between 1 and 4 pm.

Photography: On occasion, we photograph or video Saturday Science for promotional and archival purposes. When registering for the event at Jerome L. Greene Science Center, you give Columbia University in the City of New York the right to use your image and your child's image for said purposes. We will never use your names, age, or other identifying factors.
