A heartbreaking, funny, and deeply truthful, the film offers a powerful reflection on art, authorship, and a world beyond mass incarceration.The film’s themes closely align with Providence House’s work supporting women experiencing homelessness who would otherwise be held at Rikers Island while awaiting trial.Following the screening, a moderated discussion with director Catherine Gund and justice advocate Leah Faria, will be facilitated by Hauser & Wirth Programming Director Russell Salmon and will explore the experiences of women, girls, and gender-expansive people impacted by the carceral system, while inviting audiences to consider tangible ways to take action and support system-impacted individuals in their own communities.Date: Wednesday, March 11thLocation: Anthology Film Archives 32 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10003 USAJoin us at 6:00 PM for drinks and small bites.
