Both are aware of the repercussions of such a revelation in a society proscribing homosexuality; therefore, they exchange messages and gifts in secret. For most of her melancholy life, Indira has unwillingly played the role of an archetypal Bengali bride in a flagrantly patriarchal family. Such novel feelings are an uncharted realm of rhapsody and solace for her.Meera, on the other hand, is comfortable with her sexual identity. Her actions are forthright and unreserved; sometimes, they are overwhelming. As Indira muddles through her new-found romantic sentiments, Meera’s assertive and heavy-handed approach strikingly resembles the repressive behavior that Indira had endured at the hands of her husband and in-laws.As the romance blossoms, flourishes, and spreads through the worn-out walls and somber milieu, Indira subtly conveys to Meera that her imposing requests can be detrimental to their relationship. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/50b63650-397d-11f1-9e48-df2c38e9f7e9-rimg-w529-h740-dc2c2d33-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events8/banners/50e3fd10-397d-11f1-ac5d-f37c7b595dcd-rimg-w990-h740-dc151215-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/5114f820-397d-11f1-868b-b5484dafacf3-rimg-w1200-h446-dce9ecee-gmir.png Winner of multiple international awards, Chandradeep Das started out as an associate to his father, eminent filmmaker Anjan Das, whose films were regularly feted at festivals like Berlinale, Rotterdam, BFI London, etc. He co-wrote his father's last film, which premiered at the International Film Festival of India in 2013 under the Indian Panorama section.Chandradeep has written, directed, and produced a few short films and international TV series that have been acquired by European and Indian distributors and selected at hundreds of prestigious film festivals all over the world, such as BFI Flare, Fribourg, Brussels, Flickerfest, IDSFFK, Norwich, Iris Prize, etc. His feature film in development, an India-Europe co-production, was a part of the Top 20 South Asian projects at the NFDC Film Bazaar Co-Production Market a couple of years ago.
