Below are the initial topics and groupings for the 1st session:Group A (Beginner/Elementary): Self-Introductions (Name, Jobs, Age, Hometown, Family, Hobbies, Food, etc).Group B (Intermediate/Advanced): Option 1: The Language Learning Journey. Discuss your learning background, goals, the "roses and thorns" of learning Mandarin OR Option 2: Your Favorite Things in and about NYC2. Rounds: You will start by talking with another learner for up to 10 minutes. Then, you swap partners and talk with a second, followed by a 3rd partner in the next two rounds. Lastly, everyone can float freely and talk to anyone in the group.3. Rules: Stay in Chinese as much as possible! I’ll be providing a “cheat sheet” for your conversations, and floating between groups to provide vocabulary and on-the-spot corrections.
