The work invites participants to join with moss gathered from beneath the Williamsburg Bridge in New York City, where it is regularly dislodged through vibration, pollution, and power-washing. Together, urban moss and human participants enact a multispecies performance score attentive to relation, displacement, and change.The choreography follows moss structures with no beginning or end, forming a connected multispecies body in continuous transformation. Within the unfolding score, moss circulates among the participants—carried, placed on the body, or gently watered—as humans and moss remain in relation to one another and to the courtyard ecology.ParticipationParticipants register in advance and take part directly in the Luminous Structure performance score.Participant arrival: 1:00 PM (required)Participants gather at 1:00 PM for a 30-minute attunement and introduction to the performance score.Multispecies Performance: 1:30–2:15 PM followed by 15 minute discussionNo prior dance experience is required.
