Keith Haring's 'Tuttomondo' 1989 Documentary World Premiere

The world premiere of the 1989 Keith Haring documentary, where we watch for 30 minutes as Keith tours Pisa for inspiration, paints the wall, parties and gives an in depth interview - including the moment when he comes up with the mural's title "Tuttomondo".

Keith flew to Rome shortly after to create never-before-seen digital drawings and animations over images of Pisa using a state-of-the art Quantel Paintbox, which appear during the documentary. Keith writes about the importance of his trip to use the Paintbox in his Journal.

A few months later, Keith Haring sadly passed away and the video tape remained unseen in Italy until being rediscovered by fellow Paintbox Artist, Adrian Wilson. As a tribute to Keith's well known generosity, Wilson has rented the NYC LGBT venue where Keith famously painted the bathroom a month or so before heading to Pisa.

The documentary's Producer and guardian for 35 years, Andrea De Gioia, is flying in from Italy to host a Q&A with Wilson after the screening, where he will describe the mural process, insights from Keith he has never shared in public, plus dozens of Polaroids taken by Keith around Pisa.

Wilson will be bringing along a rare working Quantel Paintbox to show exactly how Keith created his digital art and animations, plus we will hear memories from the Paintbox artists who sat with him as he produced this stunning unseen work.

This is a free event but private and ticketed, with no walk-ins permitted.

Due to the venue size, there are only 50 tickets available.

As in many of Keith Haring's artwork, the mature content in some of the drawings may be inapprpriate for children, therefore, to avoid any upset or issues, we have set the age limit to 18.
