For over 17 years, her practice has moved between the worlds of advertising and editorial. As the founder of Analog is Heavy, a New York, based concept-to-capture creative studio, she builds dynamic cross-disciplinary teams to concept and create campaigns that are culturally resonant and vibrant.A passionate educator, Julia serves as adjunct faculty at the School of Visual Arts, where she teaches Art Direction and Photography in the BFA design and advertising department. She frequently speaks to students and creative teams across the country about entrepreneurship, creative leadership, and the power of personal projects.Beyond client work, Julia’s personal art practice explores themes of environmental trauma and transformation and has been exhibited internationally. She is an advocate for accessible creativity, leading community workshops that use cut-paper collage as a tool for liberated making, invitingparticipants of all ages and backgrounds into the creative process.Julia previously served on the Board of Directors at AIGA NY (2018–2020) and taught art as a volunteer with underserved youth at Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) from 2015–2017.
