Intermediate Level Tango Series

6-Week Intermediate Tango Series

This 6-week intermediate tango series is designed for dancers who have completed a beginner series or have prior tango experience and are ready to deepen their technique, musicality, and expressive range.

Building on foundational skills, this series will focus on:

• Refining tango walking and pivot technique
• Expanding turns, ochos, and transitions
• Improving connection, balance, and responsiveness
• Exploring musical phrasing and dynamic expression
• Developing fluidity and confidence on the social dance floor

Classes emphasize precision, flow, and partner awareness, helping dancers move beyond steps and into a more embodied, musical tango experience. Partners are welcome but not required.

$150 for the entire 6-week series

$75 for 3 of the 6-week series

$30 per drop-in class

About the Instructor:

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mariela Franganillo is an acclaimed tango dancer, choreographer, and producer based in New York City. She has danced in Forever Tango on Broadway, toured internationally with Julio Iglesias, and performed alongside Grammy Award–winner Pablo Ziegler. Mariela is also the founder of TangoFlow and Dance Tango NYC (DTNYC), where she continues to share her passion for tango with dancers of all levels.
