Come early and grab a drink from the P&T Cafe!Both tickets and books are available on eventbrite and at the door.ABOUT THE AUTHORCara Benson is the author of the memoir An Armsfull of Birds: A Personal Field Guide to Love, Loss, and Commitment. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, Boston Review, Orion, Sierra, The Brooklyn Rail, and selected for Best American Poetry. She's received a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and lives in a former church in upstate NY on the ancestral lands of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians.ABOUT THE MODERATORAmy Shearn is the author of five novels, including Animal Instinct, one of NPR's "Books we love" of 2025. Her work has appeared in the New York Times Modern Love Column, Ms Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, O: The Oprah Magazine, and elsewhere. She lives in Brooklyn, where she teaches writing classes and works 1:1 with writers.Housekeeping notes:This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating.Doors open at 6:30pm, with the talk starting around 7:00pm.Books will be available for purchase at the event.Cost of a book bundle ticket reflects the total cost of the feature event book (MSRP plus tax).
