With a background in painting and graphic design, her practice spans studio arts, digital media, and photography. Her teaching is rooted in a belief of child-centered learning and the transformative power of self-expression and creativity. She has taught students and adults of all ages, led mindfulness practices for elementary school students and facilitated a girls’ empowerment program that integrates movement, dance, and peer discussions. Alongside her work in the classroom and the arts, Carin has pursued in-depth training in meditation, mindfulness, and sound modalities. These studies have both deepened her personal practice and expanded her ability to guide others in cultivating presence and inner awareness. Carin is also passionate about creating and sharing chocolate which led to the launch of her company Chocolate for Change.
