Much of his work is portraiture made using the 19th century wet plate collodion process. Berliner's main interest is the history of photography, especially the history of photographic technology, lenses, cameras and process. Much of his work is made using vintage gear in a contemporary practice, with the goal of maintaining the relevance of analog / historic processes.
