Instituto Cervantes New York is proud to present California Frontiers, a curated collection of Franciscan mission repertoire written for small forces.The first settlement in Alta California was established at San Diego harbor in 1769. Over the next 50 years, Franciscan missions were established along the coast as far north as present-day Sonoma. Music was central to life in these communities.
