Sir George was an active and educated figure, a patron of John Singer Sargent and Sir Edwin Lutyens, and author of the highly regarded ˆOn the Making of Gardens. Musson’s lecture will reveal how deeply Sir George studied Italian art and architecture, how this knowledge informed his understanding of English design traditions, and how these interests informed the paths of his famous offspringTickets: Individual tickets are $125 per person for the lecture and reception before October 3.
