"AGAIN" is an interactive full-length play being developed based on testimonies of seniors from University Settlement's senior centers and Wellness Together participants. J, a struggling sculpture artist, must harness the remaining ancestral magic on Earth to destroy RETIREMENT.AI, a dystopian parallel universe that has robbed the world of electricity–sending Earth’s inhabitants into a screen-induced stasis. Creating a pact with a magical mascot, J draws inspiration from an audience of ancestors to reimagine their world against odds, circumstance, and repeated failures. Her journey culminates in a place where ancestors cannot reach. In order to get J's sedentary father to move again, he must find the magic within himself.

JASON WANG / PLAYWRIGHT is a playwright/actor from Queens, NY. Two working-class immigrant parents left Jason alone to figure out what to do with their free time; he ultimately decided to make the same 4 lego people talk to each other atop a couch. Jason now practices this hobby full-time: writing plays that exemplify the capability of purpose to instill power, deliver peace, and promote pleasure. Children and inner children are the stewards of purpose. When we align our purpose among all those who came before– everything else falls into place.

Currently, Jason is a MAP Fund Grantee (producing “STUY OR DIE” throughout 2025), Laundromat Project Create Change Fellow, and introvert. Through their experiences as a FABNYC Fellow (‘24), Flushing Town Hall and NYFA New Work Grantee (‘24), HEAR US Fellow (‘23), and EmergeNYC Fellow (‘21), they continue to practice theatre’s inherent ability to empower and connect community members most directly impacted by social issues. They have developed their work with Glow Cultural Center, Personal Pizza Party, The Elif Collective, the Workshop Theater, The Brick Theater, and Playwrights Horizons Theater School– where they were president of the NYU All Asian Arts Alliance.
