UMN Apple Pruning Workshop March 23rd 3-5p

Join University of Minnesota Extension for a hands-on apple pruning workshop hosted locally at the Red Barn Greenhouse. This practical session will be led by Extension educators Madeline Wimmer, Olivia Olson, and Tarah Young, who will cover the fundamentals of pruning apple trees including key principles, proper techniques, and decision making considerations.

Whether you are new to pruning or looking for a refresher, this workshop is designed for orchard workers, Master Gardeners, hobby growers, and backyard gardeners. Participants can bring their own pruning tools and should dress for active outdoor learning. All attendees will receive the UMN Extension guide to pruning apple trees.

We'll begin at inside the Red Barn Greenhouse, then head outside to practice pruning in the orchard. Dress for the weather. Cost is $20.
