Men don't talk. Not really. Not about the things that are actually taking them down.

This is a morning built around the idea that a good meal, the right room, and someone willing to go first can change that. Real conversation about the stuff that actually runs a man's week ...... relationships and where they get stuck, saying what you mean without it turning into a fight, what being a dad asks of you, how your health and your sleep quietly set your mood before you've even had coffee.

You're in it, not watching it. Pull up a chair with a guy who's dealt with the same thing and talk it through right there. You'll laugh, probably more than you expect. And you'll walk out lighter than you walked in.

Ray Gabriel is our MC and mentor. Haley Cridland is running a live breathwork session. Jhöl Unger hosts and leads most of the morning. One more name to come.

This is the first one, and the only one of its kind in New West this year. After August 30 it carries on monthly. The men who show up on the 30th are who the rest of it gets built around.

Doors 8:30. Runs 9:00 to 12:00.
Fraser River Discovery Centre, 788 Quayside Drive, New Westminster
$25 a seat, which covers brunch from Angelina's, coffee and tea. Nobody is making a dollar off this room.
Bring a reusable coffee cup with a lid.
Three minutes from New West SkyTrain. Pay parking nearby. Q to Q ferry from Queensborough.
