- **Event Description**: Hop on the eco-buggy and search for pine lilies at Longleaf Pine Preserve!About this EventJoin environmental specialist, Tommy Nordmann, on the Explore Volusia eco-buggy, discover the pine flatwoods and cypress swamps of Longleaf Pine Preserve, and help staff locate the native pine lily flower. Participants will learn how Volusia County Land Management maintains these important ecosystems for these and other native plants and animals.** Important note: Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. Visit Explore Volusia to download and complete the waiver ahead of time.** Some GPS devices and phone apps will take you to the wrong location. Please confirm the meeting place and directions ahead of time. There will be some easy, short walks as well.RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.AGES: All ages are welcome.ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet.
