Participants can expect a challenging but rewarding hike through pine flatwoods and cypress swamps. Participants may bring a lunch and join the group for an optional picnic at the pavilion at the conclusion of the hike.** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. Waivers can be downloaded at Explore Volusia and completed ahead of time.** Some map apps and GPS devices will take you to the incorrect location. Difficulty depends on the distance and the condition of the trail.RESERVATIONS: Required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy and wet, comfortable clothing for the outdoors** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet.
