Morti the Bookmobile and the MMPL certified agents are going on a road trip to serve those in Morton County who are seeking passport assistance. 

On SATURDAY, MAY 3RD*, anyone needing help completing their passport paperwork can find help at the Metro Perk & Market in the Metropolitan building in NEW SALEM (514 Main Ave, New Salem, ND 58563)

Whether it's your first passport, you need to renew your passport, you need an official photo for your passport, or you have questions about documents, fees, wait times, and more.

MMPL offers passport assistance to ANYONE (you don't have to have an account with MMPL). 

Typically, passport services are provided by-appointment-only on Mondays and Thursdays; however, this Saturday event operates without needing to make an appointment and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
?Three agents will be available to process applications. 
?Be aware there may be some waiting time.
?Complete applications in advance by getting forms from the library or going online to https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html

WHAT TO BRING:
?State-issued certified birth certificate
?Passport (if you have one)
?Driver's license or State issued ID

CURRENT PROCESSING TIMES:
?Regular Passports: 8 weeks*
?Expedited Passports: 3 weeks* (this is an additional $60 for each person)

*Note: these times are approximate, as received by the US Department of State.

FEES
?There will be TWO Fees to Pay:

?The US Dept. of State ONLY accepts personal checks, money orders or cashier's check.
- Adult (16 and above): book--$130; card--$30; both--$160
- Kids (15 and under):   book--$100; card--$15; both--$115

?MMPL accepts checks, cash or credit/debit cards 
- Processing fee: $35 per person
- Photo fee: $15 per person

*Typically, Passport Saturdays are offered on-site at the Morton Mandan Public Library on the 2nd Saturday of the month. This outreach event is REPLACING our regularly scheduled Passport Saturday for the month of May.
