Delivered by WWETB Outdoor Education Training Centre in association with Wexford County Council's Active Travel Team.Sessions start and finish at South East Greenway, Rosbercon Car Park, using the traffic-free greenway to help participants build confidence while enjoying outdoor physical activity.The programme is for Adults aged 18 and over. The programme runs from March to October, taking place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.March 13th & 17thApril 10th & 24thMay 8th & 22ndJune 12th & 26thJuly 10th & 24thAugust 14th & 28thSeptember 11th & 25thOctober 9th & 23rdThere are two sessions per day:11:00am1:30pmEach session runs for up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.Weather Conditions:Sessions are weather dependent. In the event of unsuitable weather or an active weather warning, sessions may be cancelled for safety reasons. If this occurs, sessions will not be rescheduled and participants may book into the next available slot.Toilet Facilities:Please note: there are no toilet facilities at the south east greenway car park. The only accesible toilet available on the south east greenway is at the Top Oil Raheen filling station, which is approx. 1.5km from the starting point at Rosbercon Car Park.Support RequirementA parent, guardian, carer, or friend must accompany each participant and take part in the cycle alongside the participant, if required. The bike is operated entirely by hand controls, using a twist-style throttle to move forward, slow down and stop.It offers excellent stability, a low step-through frame for easier access, and a comfortable upright seating position, making it suitable for people who may have lower-limb mobility impairments.This bike may be suitable for people who:Can transfer onto the bike independently or with minimal assistanceHave balance, coordination, or mild mobility difficultiesAre unable to pedalHave good upper-body and hand controlNeed a stable, supportive cycling option with no pedalling requiredThe Axess E3 may not be suitable for individuals who:Have a moderate to severe intellectual disability, where understanding instructions, hazards, or cause-and-effect may be limitedAre unable to safely operate hand controls, including twisting and releasing the throttle.
