Because the statics are alarming! Twelfth-graders across the nation score the lowest in reading in the past three decades. Moreover, NAEP reports children’s reading scores overall have hit an all time low! 43% of minority third graders and 63% of low-income children are not reading at grade level.

Through innovative collaboration, we promote the joy of reading, and address this crisis by creating awareness, engaging Westchester County residents, community and friends to become champions of literacy and reading.
