Unlocking Homeownership: Understanding PMI, Different Loan Programs, What is Homestead Exemption and Florida Save Our Home Credits!
This is a great class for new agents and a great refresher for seasoned agents. In this class you will learn:
• The steps of the loan process
• What documents are needed from the buyer to get pre-approved?
• Pre-Qualification versus Pre-Approval
• Overview of a FHA, Conventional and VA Loans
• What is PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) and which loans require it?
• What is the difference between a Loan Worksheet, Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure (CD)?
• Homestead Exemptions and Save our Home Credits for Real Estate Taxes
• Janice will explain why real estate taxes can and will change after the sale of a home. Have you ever wondered why two identical homes, built by the same builder at the same time have different real estate taxes, even if both properties have homestead on the home?
• Have you ever told a client that their real estate taxes should go down after they buy the home because an investor owns it now and once they file for homestead it will lower their real estate taxes and it doesn’t; the taxes actually go up?
