About the Show: Set in the 1590s, Something Rotten! follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom, two playwrights desperate to outshine their rival — the Bard himself, William Shakespeare. When a soothsayer foretells the future of theatre, the Bottom brothers set out to write the world’s very first musical. What follows is a riotous mix of mistaken prophecy, outrageous song‑and‑dance numbers, and Elizabethan antics that will leave you laughing until thou dost cry.
