Let’s make science squishy and slimy! In this experiment, we will create stretchy “slimy worms” by mixing two special ingredients. When these liquids come together, they go through a process called polymerization — a big word that means tiny particles link together to form long, squishy chains. These long chains are called polymers, and they’re what give slime and our “worms” their gooey, stretchy texture.

As we pour one solution into another, we’ll watch the slime form right before our eyes! The mixture will start as a liquid and quickly turn into long, wiggly, slimy worms. This experiment helps us learn how some materials change when certain chemicals mix together — just like how plastics, slime, and even DNA are made from polymers in real life.

Get ready to stretch, squish, and wiggle your slimy science worms while exploring the amazing world of chemistry!
