Join Jacqui Penn of Soma and Soul and Velvet Scarletta of Wolf Running Wild for Winter Solstice celebration.

✨ "Darkness within Darkness is the gateway to all understanding" ✨

? This gathering is a somatic dance celebration honouring the longest nights of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

? OUT DOOR VENUE!! ?
If the weather is fine we will dance outside in a beautiful setting on Hurford Road under the stars.

? There will be a fire! ?

? We gather to celebrate the gifts in the darkness - when we connect with the light, like fire and stars, we can bring awareness to the darkness that surrounds it. Can we be with the darkness rather than always searching for the light? Through free movement - We will explore the wisdom, adventure and depth that can be found in the darkness.

✨ This exploration invites awareness into what we see - an exploration into the world in which we physically see and the world in which we perceive with our minds eye. How can the dark teach us courage, resilience and being present with complex emotions? This opportunity invites us to shine in spite of darkness through the healing and playful act of dancing without rules.

As this event intends to be outside the playlist and experience will be tailored to accommodate keeping us warm!

? This event is on a private property of a wonderful member of our dance community.

?️ Tickets must be pre purchased before the event as numbers are limited so if you’re keen to join us and haven’t booked yet, we encourage you to grab your ticket!

? Car pooling is encouraged

? There will be people there to greet you and show you where to park.

⏰ Please arrive mindfully and respect the space, ready to start at 7pm

☕ Bring a flask of hot beverage to keep you warm, lots of layers and a blanket if you wish.

? This is a drug-free, alcohol-free, phone-free space

? There is a room next to the outdoor dance space for everyone to put their belongings.

? Dance: 7–8:30pm
? Socialising around the fire until 9pm

Both Velvet Scarletta and Jacqui Penn hold regular dance spaces and are passionate about creating nurturing, courageous environments supported by eclectic and epic music with a trauma aware approach to facilitation.

? This is an invitation to explore freedom through music and movement. Whether you’re seeking to reconnect with your body, shift your mood, or simply try something new, this space is open to all adults — no experience needed.
