- **Event Name**: Central & Wellington District Brass Band Contest

- **Event Description**: This Saturday, 9 bands from the Central and Wellington Districts are competing over two days at New Plymouth Girls' High School.  We'd love to see you come along and support the bands!

Saturday is the more serious part of the competition, with the Sacred Item and Test competition.  This runs from 10.30am - 4.30pm, with a break between 1-2pm.  

During this time, the bands will move to Pukekura Park (weather permitting) where each band will perform a march in the band rotunda for the public.

On Sunday, each band will perform an Entertainment Selection, and these will again run at NPGHS between 9.30-3.00pm.

All the band events are FREE for the public to attend, so come along, enjoy some fantastic performances, and show your support for our bands.

Saturday 29 August
10.30-12.30: Sacred Item and Test (each band approx 20 mins)
1pm-2pm: Pukekura Park Band Rotunda - March at Halt
2.15-5.00pm: Sacred Item and Test continue

Sunday 30 August
Entertainment Programme (each band approx 30 mins). 
9.30am-3.00pm at NPGHS.
