Hospice care is about helping people live as well as they can, for as long as they can. Sometimes that means choosing comfort — wearing shorts (fancy shorts, jean shorts, pj shorts…), feeling the breeze or the warmth of the sun, and enjoying the moment you’re in.
That’s the heart of Awhi Day — celebrating life, kindness, empathy and community.
We’re delighted that 20 schools across Taranaki will be taking part:
Avon School, Mangorei School, Norfolk School, Waitoriki School, Urenui School, Manukorihi Intermediate, Spotswood Primary, Welbourne School, Westown School, Devon Intermediate, Marfell School, St Joseph’s Waitara, Westend School, The Green School, Manaia School, Huirangi School, Merrilands School, Uruti School, New Plymouth Girls’ High School and Hāwera Primary School.
Because of community support, hospice care remains free for families across Taranaki.
