She began heryoga journey in 2012 while working as an Industrial Hygienist for the Army in Landstuhl,Germany. There she began her teacher training with a focus on soldiers and their families,helping them address anxiety and post-traumatic stress symptoms. In 2017 she returned to theBel Air, Maryland area teaching classes privately and for her public health co-workers. Inspiredby the positive changes she saw in herself and students, she applied for a yoga therapyprogram to deepen her practice and knowledge of yoga. The two-year program lead tocertification by the International Association of Yoga Therapy in 2024.
