- **Event Description**: Meet up at the Nanih to observe what’s in our waters, discuss cultural practices, and to build a water filter using off-the-shelf materials.About this EventCollection of Collections will guide participants in a special learning opportunity through which we build practical skills and community resilience. We will 1) observe with microscopes and learn about what’s in the water, in terms of common contaminants found in bodies of water in and around New Orleans, 2) discuss different cultural traditions and practices in relation to drinking water from around the world, and 3) collectively build a water filter using off-the-shelf materials and discussing real world applications and considerations.This event is capped at 15 participants – sign up today!
