9:30 AM–12 Noon – Volunteer & Gardening Projects
Each month, neighbors, families, and volunteers gather at Okra Abbey to share food, learn together, and grow community through the garden. This November we’re especially seeking new partnerships that weave together civic, arts, wellness, garden, and community organizing efforts. If your group would like to collaborate, please reach out!
We’ll explore how our garden beds connect to the food we eat at the community table with our Lead Gardener, while working side by side to strengthen bonds and grow fresh, nutritious food.

Okra Abbey – 1800 Monroe St, New Orleans Public School Property

We welcome groups, families, and individuals of all backgrounds to come work alongside neighbors in our community giving garden.
🌱 Weekly Hours:
• Mon–Thurs, 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
• Coffee on Mon/Tues/Thurs at 8:30 AM
• Grace & Greens community meal every Wednesday at Noon
100% of what we grow is shared through our Wednesday lunch and directly with our neighbors.
