Live Music at Greca: The Music of Plaka

Join us for a nostalgic musical journey as Greca hosts an intimate afternoon inspired by the boîtes—the legendary small clubs of Athens’ Plaka district during the 1960s and 70s. This was an era when poets, composers, and soulful singers gathered in candlelit rooms to share music that shaped modern Greek culture. Our live performance will feature beloved songs by some of Greece’s greatest composers, along with selections from the Neo Kyma (New Wave) movement—gentle, melodic, deeply poetic pieces that blend folk simplicity with lyrical sophistication.
This is the sound of old Athens: songs that speak of love, longing, peace, memory, and the human spirit. Sit back with a glass of wine, a meze platter, and let the atmosphere transport you to the winding streets of the Plaka at its most magical. $15 music charge
