The rhythms of Rio de Janeiro fill the air in the Copacabana Supper Club Experience, live in Oakland, energizing the newly restored Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts. You will know why Conde’ Nast named Oakland the country’s top food destination as you savor dinner prepared by one of Oakland’s celebrated local chefs while the night comes alive and your immersed in vibrant dance, pulsing samba rhythms, and bold tropical energy.

A Latin-inspired bar, wine and champagne complete the evening, with bottle service available and served with a very special theatrical twist!

Hosted by the magnetic Glauco Araujo and under the music direction of Latin-Grammy Award©-winning drummer Joe McCarthy’s Afro Bop Alliance, the show also features Bay Area jazz legend Larry Dunlap on piano and a stunning lineup of local artists. The action of the show unfolds around – and even above - you. Part cabaret, part throw-back Las Vegas supper club, part Brazilian Carnaval-style party, this is a unique celebration of Rio’s spirit, right in the heart of Oakland. This is an immersive theatrical and dining experience you won’t want to miss.

The evening is enhanced by the stunningly ornate architecture of the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts, a newly renovated venue on the south shore of Lake Merritt. Enter on the lovely Lakeview Terrace before making your way to the elegant supper club atop the building. Private gated parking puts you steps from the entrance and Bart is an easy two block walk.

The night is made even more special by reserving a private table for your group of 4 or more. Reserved tables are personally coordinated and processed for you by our concierge by emailing concierge@hjkarts.org.

The talented cast of Bay Area professional talent includes Phoenyx Rose as ‘Morena’; Carla Santos as ‘Daisy’; Sierra Bolar, Lady H, and Erica Laney as the ‘Chacretes’; also featuring Zoel Esperanza (Queen of Carnaval SF 2025) and more. Further, local Bay Area professional musicians include Larry Dunlap (piano); Aaron Germain (bass); Konstantins Jemeljanovas (trumpet); Scott Sorkin (guitar); Christian Pepin (percussion).
