Join the Lyman Allyn for a photo collage workshop with featured artist, Amy Johnquest (BannerQueen).
This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore painting and collage directly onto vintage photographs, including Victorian cabinet cards and early studio portraits. Following a brief presentation and demonstration, participants will select from a collection of antique photographs and provided materials to create their own altered ancestor artwork.
The workshop emphasizes experimentation, material sensitivity, personal interpretation, and enjoyment over technical perfection. Participants work at their own pace, with ample time for exploration and completion.
Date & Time: Saturday, March 14, 1-4 pm instructional time, 4-5 pm open studio time
Cost: LAAM Members, Connecticut College Faculty, Staff, and Students $25, Non-Members $30
