- **Event Description**: The Settlement of Meggers will be the featured presentation of the New Holstein Historical Society's annual Meeting on Saturday, November 8.  The event will be held at the Altona Supper Club.

Bob Domagalski of the St. Nazianz Area Historical Society will be the featured speaker.  While working on family genealogy, Domagalski developed a keen interest in the history of St. Nazianz and the surrounding area.  During the past 21 years he has compiled a comprehensive study of a 90 square mile area of Southern Manitowoc County, which includes the Meggers area as well as some of the abutting Calumet County area.  His study has turned up land history of every property in the area and also includes genealogy of many landowners within the area.

The annual meeting will begin at 12 noon (doors open at 11 AM) on Nov. 8 with a meal of baked chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, and bow-tie salad.  Following the meal a short business meeting will be held with the main order of business to elect three members to the NHHS Board of Directors.  The event is open to the general public as well as all NHHS members.

Cost for the event is $22.00 each for NHHS members and $25.00 each for non-NHHS members.  Reservations are due October 31 and may be made by sending the names of the attendees, along with payment for each, to Treasurer- NHHS, PO Box 144, New Holstein, WI  53061.
