Community arts program in New Haven, Ohio, honors past exhibitors and creative community partnerships with anniversary showcase
NEW HAVEN, Ohio — The Art Junction will celebrate its 15th anniversary with “With a Little Help From My Friends”, a special exhibition featuring many of the artists who have helped shape the gallery’s creative community over the past decade and a half.
The exhibition will be on view from August 1 through September 25, 2026, at The Art Junction in New Haven, Ohio. An opening reception will be held Saturday, August 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Special showings are available upon request.
“This exhibition is really a celebration of friendship, creativity, and gratitude,” said Kevin Casto, M.A., director of The Art Junction. “Over the past 15 years, so many artists, students, families, and community members have helped make The Art Junction a place where people can discover the joy of creating together. With a Little Help From My Friends gives us a meaningful opportunity to honor those relationships and look forward to what is still to come.”
Featured Artists
With a Little Help From My Friends will showcase artists from across Ohio and beyond, including Don Moore of Texas; James Easter of Toledo, Ohio; David Wolff of Collins, Ohio; Lynda Stoneham of North Fairfield, Ohio; Alec Casto of Willard, Ohio; Marnie Lillo of Willard, Ohio; Karen Wilson of New Haven, Ohio; Kellie Kalash of Columbus, Ohio; work from the estate of Charles Casto of Willard, Ohio; Amanda Kiplinger of Polk, Ohio; Bruce Bitmead of Buffalo, New York; and Kevin Casto of Willard, Ohio.
About the Exhibition
For 15 years, The Art Junction has provided a welcoming space for artists, students, families, and community members to experience and create art together. The anniversary exhibition honors the friendships, collaborations, and creative contributions that have supported the gallery’s mission since its beginning.
During that time, The Art Junction has hosted gallery exhibitions, artist talks, art classes, summer art camps, homeschool art classes, adult workshops, community art events, and visiting-artist programs in media ranging from fused glass and clay to painting. The organization has also developed and shared touring faith-based art exhibits, including The Art of Advent, Art of the Passion, A Harvest of Attributes: Images of the Fruit of the Spirit, The Painted Word: A Visual Journey of the Life of Christ, and Images of Pentecost.
The Art Junction continues to encourage young and emerging artists, along with local residents of all ages, to explore and develop their God-given creativity. Future plans include pursuing nonprofit status to support grant opportunities and further develop a pottery studio generously donated by noted local potter William Foster.
About The Art Junction
The Art Junction is a community-based art education program designed to bring gallery space, local art exhibitions, lessons, and creative opportunities to the Willard area. Serving adults, teens, seniors, and children, The Art Junction helps people create together and strengthen community through the arts. The Art Junction is a ministry of New Haven Methodist Church, a Global Methodist congregation.
