Join us for an evening with Dr. Marina Picciotto, one of the most decorated neuroscientists of her generation and current President of the Society for Neuroscience. Dr. Picciotto is a Professor at Yale University, where she has been a faculty member since 1995, and her research sits at the fascinating intersection of molecular neuroscience, addiction, and mental health — with a particular focus on how nicotinic acetylcholine receptors shape mood, cognition, and behavior.
Trained at Stanford, The Rockefeller University, and the Institut Pasteur in Paris, Dr. Picciotto has spent decades uncovering how the brain's signaling systems influence everything from nicotine dependence to depression. Her work has earned her the NIH Director's Pioneer Award, the Jacob P. Waletzky Award for addiction research, and election to both the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, among many other honors.
The evening will feature a 45-minute talk followed by a Q&A, giving you a rare opportunity to engage directly with a scientist whose work is fundamentally shaping our understanding of the brain. Whether you're a researcher, student, or simply curious about neuroscience, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
