Patrick Zimmerli debuts the EMP House Band. Formed to be the backbone of Zimmerli's new Production company, the band features the amazing David Cook, an adventurous and sensitive jazz pianist who also happens to serve as Musical Director to, among others, Taylor Swift. Also in the band is veteran bassist Chris Tordini and Percussion firebrand Satoshi Takeishi. The band will play selections from Zimmerli's forthcoming CD Songs of Innocence, as well as new compositions and standards.

Patrick Zimmerli’s principal aspiration is to create music that will stand the test of time. Having written numerous large- and small-scale works for classical and jazz groups, his sophisticated hybrid incorporates elements of jazz, classical, and pop music. Since winning the Thelonious Monk Composers Competition in 1993, he has released 12 albums, including collaborations with Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, and many others. His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall and Town Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, Sala São Paolo, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the SF Jazz Center, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
