For over 20 years, Santa’s caboose rides have been a holiday tradition for families across Northeast Indiana — and the magic continues this season! Climb aboard for a festive 20-minute trip with Saint Nick himself, or make it unforgettable with a private caboose charter for your family and friends.
Due to demand, all tickets must be purchased online and in advance.
Tickets are just $10 per person (children three and under ride free), with private charters available for $500 and seating up to 15 guests. All rides depart Santa’s Workshop at 15808 Edgerton Road in New Haven.

THE OFFERINGS
For our 20 minute trips:
Each caboose ride trip is operated by a vintage diesel locomotive and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
For our 45-minute charters:
Santa’s private caboose is available for families and large groups to charter in the evenings for $500. These nighttime rides comfortably accommodate up to 15 people aboard a historic caboose decorated with Christmas lights and warmed by an authentic coal stove. Passengers will enjoy an approximately 45-minute ride, and snacks and refreshments are included.
We encourage families to bring presents for Santa to deliver during their time. These should be given to our station agent during the check-in process. Please note, this only applies to charters and not our 20-minute train rides.

Ticket prices do not include processing fees. Tickets are delivered automatically by email after checkout and are not mailed by any other method. Please ensure your email address is correct before completing your purchase, and check your spam or junk folder if your confirmation does not appear. Parking, boarding, and safety information is included with every purchase confirmation. Your review of this information is essential to ensuring an enjoyable experience.
Passengers wishing to travel together should book their tickets as part of the same reservation and under the same name. Refunds or exchanges are only available 30 days or more before travel. In place of refunds, credits for future travel and experiences are offered. Due to their historic nature, our cabooses are not ADA-accessible. Our excursions departing Pleasant Lake include ADA accessible seating.
