Yuletide Remembered: A History of Christmas Traditions

Where did the traditions of Christmas trees come from? Have you ever heard the story of the Christmas pickle?! Why do we hang stockings and why do we put presents in them? Who is Santa Claus and why does he have some many other names? Bring your family and come to Community House No. 2 to explore the whys behind our most loved Christmas traditions. After the program try your hand at decorating a gingerbread cookie and enjoy a cup of warm spiced cider.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for youth and students attending an Indiana institution of higher learning. Tickets can be purchased by visiting https://www.indianamuseum.org/historic-sites/new-harmony-historic-site/ or at the door.

**No second party tickets will be accepted. The only valid method for ticket purchase is through the New Harmony State Historic Site website or at the door.**
