She acknowledges the rich and enduring weaving traditions of First Nations peoples across Australia and beyond. Her own practice is through a contemporary lens—rooted in diverse craft forms, nature connection, and mindfulness. Monique is clear that she is not an Indigenous artist and does not teach or represent Indigenous cultural practices.Monique is also a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, who trained with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.
