When Lines Move

Methods seriesFacilitated by Anarya – an artist who is part of the exhibition Extraordinary LineThe workshop will explore the nature of moving lines and approach animation as a slow drawing-making process. Participants will bring an existing drawing they’ve made earlier, and using simple hand-drawn animation techniques, we will make that drawing shift and grow and turn it into a small animation loop. With just paper and pencil, everyone will create a sequence of 6–12 drawings that show their original image changing slightly from frame to frame.Image credits:AnaryaPreparatory Drawings, 2025Cheater Ant SeriesSoft pastel, pencil and pen on paperCourtesy: The Artist
