Celebrate the genius of James Joyce at Triveni Kala Sangam for a week of immersion, art, and discovery.

Bloomsday celebrates Thursday, June 16th 1904, the day immortalised in James Joyce’s 1922 novel Ulysses. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, one of the novel’s protagonists. The novel follows Bloom’s life and thoughts (as well as those of Stephen Dedalus and a host of other characters, real and fictional) from 8AM through to the early hours of the following morning.

Start your Bloomsday journey with the launch of the Joycewale: Notes on Photos, A Diary between Delhi and Dublin, where Mayank Austen Soofi of the Hindustan Times bridges the spirit of our two cities through a stunning photo essay.

From there, lose yourself in the premiere of Araby by Kaivalya Plays. If you're feeling inspired, find your own creative voice in specialized writing and improvisation workshops, or test your literary wits in our book giveaway quiz for a chance to take home works by Joyce and other modern Irish masters.
