Inspired by KNMA’s ongoing exhibition Extraordinary Line, which explores the expressive power of marks, gestures, and drawing across time, this workshop introduces families to the visual cultures of ancient civilizations. From Egyptian murals and Mesopotamian reliefs to Greek pottery and Indus Valley seals, participants will discover how ancient artists used minimal lines and symbolic forms to record rituals, histories, and collective memory.Families will observe ancient motifs and reinterpret them through freehand drawing on textured surfaces such as cork sheets, evoking the feeling of ancient walls, carved stones, and timeless storytelling traditions.
