- **Event Description**: Two mighty emperors and one grand capital... one had the crown and the other had his dynasty... they both aspired to rule the vast land of Hindustan... from the newly built capital - Deenpanah!This city was dreamt up by Humayun the 2nd Mughal who had inherited a prosperous & glorious empire of Hindoostan from Babur yet in a toss of fate lost the city and his empire to his old nemesis the Afghans led by Sher Shah Suri!Perhaps the ablest administrator to ever rule from Delhi Sher Shah a commoner with Afghan roots rose from the heartland of Bihar and through sheer guts grit and gumption threw the Mughals out of India.There are more impressive forts than the Old Fort in the vast historical landscape of Delhi but none tell the saga of the see-sawing fortunes of Humayun & Sher Shah’s riveting battles with the Mughals and other sundry vassal kings in North India.Built by Humayun Deenpanah became the seat of power for Sher Shah Sur who renamed and rebuilt Dinpanah into Sher Garh in a bid to erase all traces of Humayun’s legacy from his home as well as from his empire.This Sunday join DBF for a rendezvous with Delhi’s 6th capital city and its 2 very important residents!
