Step into the world of Mughal landscape design on a thoughtfully curated morning walk through two of Delhi’s most remarkable green spaces.

Beginning at the Humayun’s Tomb Museum Complex, we explore the principles that shaped one of history’s most influential garden traditions—geometry, water, symmetry and symbolism. Discover how these elements reflected a larger vision of empire, spirituality and aesthetics.

The walk then continues to Sundar Nursery, beautifully reimagined by landscape architect Mohammad Shaheer, where centuries-old Mughal design principles converse with contemporary ecological thinking and conservation practice.

Scheduled just before the arrival of the monsoon, the walk offers a rare opportunity to experience these gardens in their brief and spectacular pre-rain bloom.

From the proportions of the char bagh to their influence on gardens across the world, this journey invites participants to read landscape as both art and science—a living manuscript written in stone, soil and water.
